Televisions are a type of electronic display that are used to view television programming and other video content. They come in a variety of sizes and styles, and have evolved significantly over the years to include a range of features and technologies.

The most common types of televisions are LCD, LED, and OLED. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) televisions use a backlight to illuminate the liquid crystals and produce the image. LED (Light Emitting Diode) televisions use a backlight made up of LEDs to produce the image. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) televisions use organic materials that emit light when an electric current is applied to produce the image. OLED TVs tend to have better picture quality, but they are more expensive than LCD or LED TVs. Additionally, there are also Plasma TVs, but they are no longer produced. Smart TVs have internet connectivity and run on an operating system, allowing users to access streaming services, apps, and the internet. 4K and 8K TVs are becoming todays standard.
